This project started with a deep dive into the trestle table at the Hallwyl Museum in Stockholm. What seemed like a decorative antique turned out to be surprisingly smart. Elegant, yet flexible in its function. That discovery sparked the idea: what if we reimagined the classic trestle for today’s needs?

The result is a modular, minimalist base that adapts to different spaces and uses. Thanks to offset legs, the trestles can be stacked sideways, nesting neatly under a table or stored along a wall. No need for extra storage rooms or heavy lifting. Just grab a pair, add a tabletop, and you’ve got a workspace, dining table, or display surface. Whatever the moment calls for.

The design language is rooted in the triangle, chosen for its strength and simplicity. You’ll find it echoed in the V-grooved legs, the angled apron, and the 7-degree tilt of the profile. These details don’t just support the structure, they also bring it to life with a graphic rhythm and subtle shadow play.

More than just furniture, this piece is a flexible tool for modern living, built to shift, stack, and stand out.
